Woman's Day Event - Everything Is Awkward
The last two years have been a rollercoaster ride. After lockdowns, masking, social distancing, and “bubbles” attempting to return to something that resembles the “normal” we remember has its challenges. How close do we stand now? Are we hugging? Are we shaking hands? What do we talk about? How do we even get a conversation started? Were you ever an extrovert, or were you kidding yourself the whole time?
EVERYTHING IS AWKWARD!
Join investStratford and the Stratford Perth Centre for Business for a Women’s Day event that will get you laughing, reconnecting, starting conversations, and making eye contact again. In this 90-minute session, guests will be in the capable hands of professional facilitators Rebecca Northan and Christy Bruce - best friends of 30 years, who also happen to be two of Canada’s top award-winning improv comedians, and alumni of Toronto’s Second City.
Rebecca and Christy will lead you through a series of exercises designed to keep stress levels low, and enjoyment levels high - all while planting the seeds of improved communication, insights into body language, human connection, and fun. The session will culminate in a short improv comedy performance where Rebecca and Christy will create moments of spontaneous hilarity and awkwardness, based on your suggestions.
